ESTATE PLANNING AND CORPORATE ATTORNEY
EXPERIENCE: 3 – 5 years
SKILLS: Good interpersonal skills both with client and office personnel. Experience with drafting estate plans from small estates to large federal taxable estates according to current state and federal laws. Understanding of sophisticated estate planning tools such as irrevocable trusts, dynasty trusts, trust decanting and life insurance exchanges. Analysis of estate assets to establish effective funding techniques. Good organizational skills. Dedication to file management for bringing matters to an effective close. Demonstrated experience with small and large estate administration including probate filings, trust funding, trust mergers, advising trustees on administration matters. Ability to interact with CPA’s for suggestions on state and federal estate tax returns. Ability to file federal estate tax returns is a plus but not a requirement.
- Prior experience using estate focused web-based estate plan drafting programs.
- Additional experience with business buy-sell agreements, business mergers and acquisitions and commercial lease negotiation is a plus.
- Licensed to practice law in RI/MA, FL is a plus not required
BOOK OF BUSINESS: This is a plus but not a requirement.
BASE COMPENSATION RANGE: Depending on skill set and experience. Expected base compensation including health insurance fringe benefit will be between $100,000- $125,000. Range could change based on established book of business and significant demonstrated experience including ability to work in the business law realm in addition to estate planning.
Annual review of compensation package based on performance.
BONUS COMPENSATION: Bonus compensation will be based on achievement of established attorney revenue generation exceeding Base Compensation.
