Legal Assistant – Litigation Practice Group
Saalfeld Griggs is looking to hire a full-time legal assistant to join the Litigation Group in our Salem office. We are open to hire both entry level and skilled paralegal candidates.
You will join an experienced team of staff and attorneys dedicated to the success of our clients. We work with large and small companies and entrepreneurs, with the goal of providing outstanding service. As a member of the Litigation team, you will have opportunities to interact with our clients and help manage a busy caseload. Our ideal candidate is organized, motivated, and can communicate well with others on the team and with our clients. Starting hourly wage is commensurate with experience.
In this role, you will:
Keep cases organized and monitor calendars and deadlines
Input information in our document management databases
Review and confirm case status with your team members
Gather and review information from clients
Interact with governmental agencies
Track status and generate necessary reports
Prepare and draft various documents for attorney review
Communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and clients
Work both independently and collaboratively with other team members

Pay Range: $22.88 - $30.37
Requirements
Required skills and experience:
No prior legal experience necessary. Litigation or paralegal experience is a plus
Prior office experience preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience editing documents in Microsoft Word or similar applications. Familiarity with Outlook, Excel and Adobe is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Reliable and predictable attendance is an essential job function
