Award-winning MG Properties is searching for a Legal Assistant/Contract Administrator to join our team in San Diego!
The Legal Assistant supports the Director of Transactions by handling administrative tasks, coordinating with departments, and ensuring smooth legal and transaction processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Legal & Compliance:
Process entity formations, annual filings, maintain entity management database, review entity-related invoices and SOP notices, and communicate the same with various departments.
Process license and permit applications for new acquisitions, process annual renewals for current properties, and maintain tracking tools per property.
Contract Management:
Assist with contract administration, tracking, and compliance across departments/current portfolio.
Review and summarize vendor service contracts, and process contract assumptions for new acquisitions.
Assist with ancillary income contracts and tracking.
Transaction Support:
Coordinate with the transactions team to gather and organize files and feedback from all other departments.
Assist in the review and preparation of purchase contracts, amendments, notices, and other transaction-related legal documents.
Collect signatures and deliver documents as required in the Purchase and Sale Agreement (PSA).
Support investments department, including with due diligence, lender reporting/compliance, or other tasks needed
Requirements
Knowledge, Experience, Educational Requirements:
2-5 years of experience as a real estate legal assistant or contract administrator required.
Knowledge of corporate and real estate law preferred.
Experience with real estate transaction closings preferred
Must be detail oriented and able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Must possess good analytical, oral, and written communication skills and coordinate many simultaneous activities.
Compensation and Benefits:
$30-$35/hr DOE
