Position Overview

Betz Law is hiring a full-time Hybrid Paralegal / Operations Manager & AI Officer in the Charlotte, NC area. This unique role blends high-level litigation support with operational leadership and strategic AI integration. The position is designed for a highly skilled, entrepreneurial professional who thrives at the intersection of law, technology, and firm development.

Core Responsibilities

Paralegal & Litigation Support

Manage case files using advanced case management software.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and arbitration/court documents.
Oversee discovery, including drafting/answering requests, organizing and reviewing documents, and managing Bates numbering and productions.
Prepare for hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations by creating exhibits, witness binders, and evidence presentations.

Administrative & Client Support

Conduct client intake and manage ongoing client communications.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, calls, and deadlines.
Maintain accurate docketing and calendar systems.
Operations & Firm Growth

Collaborate with the founding attorney to drive strategic expansion.

Oversee firm website, digital marketing, SEO, and advertising campaigns.
Build and maintain relationships with peer firms, defense counsel, regulatory bodies, and referral sources.
Establish and refine best practices for firm workflows and operations.

AI Officer & Technology Integration

Lead the adoption of AI tools to improve efficiency in case management, legal research, marketing, and firm operations.
Evaluate and implement emerging legal tech solutions.
Position Betz Law as a thought leader in AI-enabled litigation and legal practice.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Paralegal certification required.
At least 10 years of litigation paralegal experience, ideally in securities arbitration, financial services litigation, or complex commercial litigation.  
Strong working knowledge of discovery, trial prep, and case management software.
Excellent organizational, research, and analytical skills.
Technologically fluent and excited to leverage AI tools for innovation.
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and capable of managing both legal and operational responsibilities.
